Labor Day is quickly approaching, one last hurrah before fall sets in, kids are back to school and the long days of summer are quickly diminishing into darkness. So celebrate this Labor Day in Steamboat Springs by indulging in our top ten favorite activities.

  1. Wild West Air Fest. Enjoy a WWII Torpedo Bomber tBM-3 Avenger perform a bombing simulation, the Rocky Mountain Renegades with their 8 aircraft formation team, a Russian Jet and a performance by International aerobatics champion Dagmar Kress.   2. End of Summer Jam. Don’t miss the band Fruition playing the final concert in the Free Concert Series at Howelsen hill Amphitheater.   3. Sidewalk Sale. Businesses along Main Street open their doors and discount their goods so you can stock up for back-to-school gear, treasures and mementos of Steamboat and last year’s winter gear.

  4. Bull Bash. 40 of the top professional Bull Riders in the world come to Steamboat’s Brent Romick Arena September 3rd to compete for over $15,000 in prize money. Be a part of the Rocky Mountain P.B.R. Bull Bash where cowboy hats and boots will be in full force.   5. 10K at 10,000 Feet. Ready to prove yourself at high altitude? The 10k at 10,000 feet begins at the summit of the old Rabbit Ears Pass road. This is one of the longest running races in the Steamboat Springs running Series. There are 10k and 5k trail races.
